July was a good time to be a race fan. Big events. Fun activations. And weekly excitement for the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and World of Outlaws Late Models.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series’ stop at Deer Creek Speedway during the July 4th weekend held a special place in our hearts as the Series collaborated with the Ronald McDonald House Charities Midwest-Rochester, MN.
Our fan experience team, along with full-time Series drivers Tristan Chamberlain, Drake Troutman, and Tanner English, made an appearance at the Ronald McDonald House on July 2, interacting with kids and families throughout the day. Helping to brighten the kids’ day, drivers signed autographs and took pictures, while the fan experience team expanded on the fun with cardboard cut-out helmets, checkered flags, light-up wands, driver posters, and more.
Our team collected pull-tabs throughout the season for the event to help generate additional funds for families of hospitalized kids. We were so grateful to be able to partner with the Ronald McDonald House and help give back in this way.
After the Gopher 50 weekend, the team’s next stop was Sharon Speedway with the World of Outlaws Late Models. Jasmine and I passed out donuts to the campers on the first day to show our appreciation. Then, on the next day, we went into the campground to play water games with the kids and parents.
The following week, it was off to Eldora Speedway for the Kings Royal weekend with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. We had a fun foam crown giveaway for Saturday’s big race, which was a hit!
We ended the month with a memorable trip to Fairbury Speedway for the Prairie Dirt Classic. As the campers always bring the party, we made sure to enhance the fun.
On Friday, our fan experience team, Amanda and I, along with Series competitor Ethan Dotson, went through the campgrounds passing out Real American Beer (to those who are 21 plus). We also gave away Real American Beer Hulk Hogan beach towels and USA-themed varsity coolers, and hosted cup pong games on Saturday.
July was nothing short of action packed and our fan experience team is excited to show you, Be an Outlaw members, what is in store for the upcoming races! Thank you for being an Outlaw, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
